This mug was created on the potter’s wheel and decorated using the Mishima method to inlay cobalt oxide into thinly carved lines. Additional details were added using my custom stains. This mug measures approximately 3 inches tall and holds 10 fluid ounces.
Note: this mug was finished using a glaze containing the rare earth element neodymium oxide. This oxide causes the glaze to be dichroic. This means that your mug may appear different shades in different light sources. It will vary between a muted blue-green to grey-purple to bright purple. Don’t be alarmed, it’s just an extra fun feature!
