Carved Porcelain Bowl
This bowl was created on the potter's wheel and carved using a scalpel. This is a new pattern that I carved after making a few crocheted market bags with a similar net design. The rim of this bowl has subtle hand drawn lines to add a place for your eye to rest. It is one of my current favorites - I keep carrying it into the house to keep, then I remember that we are on pottery overload so I take it back to the studio. If it gets passed up, I might take it as a sign to keep it!
I use carved bowls for fruit. They also can hold bread, decorative ornaments or can stand alone. (Crocheters and Knitters: these are often bought to use as fancy yarn bowls!)
Measures 4.5 inches tall and 11 inches in diameter.
Not oven safe, hand washing recommended.
