Carved Porcelain Bowl
This bowl was created on the potter's wheel and carved using a scalpel. Many of my bowls have a carved rim but I kept this one intact because it reminds me of a ribbon around a hat! This bowl is carved with one of my favorite subjects: leaves. I especially love finding leaf 'skeletons' where decay has left only the veins, barely held together.
I use carved bowls for fruit. They also can hold bread, decorative ornaments or can stand alone. (Crocheters and Knitters: these are often bought to use as fancy yarn bowls!)
Measures 4.5 inches tall and 9.5 inches in diameter.
Not oven safe, hand washing recommended.
